Townsend Newsletter
Townsend sends out quarterly newsletters covering many aspects of financial planning. These newsletters provide investment management and retirement planning information and are available free of charge to both current and prospective clients. The newsletters include a market commentary, the relative strength of the market, financial articles with additional newsworthy items, an article related to the financial industry and retirement planning, and Cayle’s Connections, a local activity- and event-based update.
Townsend Winter 2024 Newsletter
In the first edition of our quarterly newsletter, Jeff Townsend writes about past declines in the market and what they mean for you as an investor. At Townsend we want to make sure you are financially prepared for a successful retirement no matter what the market looks like. Jeff’s Newsworthy Items section is full of stats regarding retirement accounts and how they will affect each generation. This section is a quick read to keep you in the loop on some economic updates – like using AI for financial advice vs talking to your financial advisor. It’s a fun little blurb that leaves you with some good takeaways.
Sallie Diamond wrote an article laying out the steps to creating a legacy plan. While she walks you through the steps in her article, making an appointment with her so she can work with you to create a specific plan that fits your lifestyle and assets is the best course of action you can take. Appointments with Sallie are free for Townsend clients so if you haven’t met with Sallie yet, call our office and make an appointment today. John Goltermann writes about Charlie Munger and how his legacy will continue after his passing late last year. John also discusses the “magnificent 7” stocks and their bounce backs – if you don’t know which seven companies comprise this group, read John’s article!
We also highlight the wonderful Townsend clients who used their time and money in December to make sure that less fortunate families had an amazing Christmas holiday. Townsend was able to donate $9,711.82 plus hundreds of toys to The Salvation Army due in large part to our generous clients. Be sure to check out Cayle’s Connections. This section has ideas for how to spend the beginning of 2024. Cayle shares a donut shop recommendation, where to go to find bumper cars on ice and a well rated Cajun restaurant. Let us know which adventures you do. We would love to see photos!
A newer section of the newsletter this quarter is a recipe from Event & Communication Manager, Savanna Brown. She shares her favorite dish after the heavy food of the holidays! We would love to share a recipe with every newsletter. If you have any favorite dishes you would love to share with other Townsend clients, please send them to Savanna@TownsendRetirement.com.
